Can we use two different codes at the same time in CAESAR II V.5.0 for any calculation ? for example, consider a line being burried and then when it comes out, there is the code break between b 31.3 and b31.8, can we not split it and procede it considering a s a whole while telling caesar that to consider some of the portion as buried and use there b31.8 and consider the some portion of the line as above ground and to use there b31.3 ?

Sure you can do this. But until version 5.10 we did not report the piping code switch in the stress report, so the only way you can tell there is a change of piping code is from the allowable stress change.

May I know what is this "code switch" in version 5.10, as I need two code system report generated by Caesar II. If the solution is 5.10, I shall ask the IT people to acquire it. Only a few words will suffice, please.

There is no switch. Just assign the proper Piping Code to the appropriate elements on the "Allowable Stress Auxiliary Dialog" as normal. When you come to a section of pipe that needs to be analyzed under a different Code, pull up the "Allowable Stress Auxiliary Dialog" and change the Piping Code.

On the Stress Report, the "right most" column will indicate the applicable Piping Code.
