hi
I was really surprised when I simply modeled a pipe with a +Y type restraint in the middle ,and after running the job seeing that the deflection of ends is not the same.I mean one end of the pipe has a greater deflection than the other.
Why is that so?
thanx

Not enough information. Please send your file to techsupport@coade.com and I will have a look. Note that a single +Y support on an otherwise unsupported pipe is statically indeterminate, which could be the problem.

Actually that is not true.

It depends upon the geometry and how you have restrained the model. If it can "rotate in space", the model "will not run" but with properly placed restraints you can get results.

the solution must be static or at rest.... imagine the system supported in space if it would drop or spin endlessly how can you calculate the results?

AKA Rigid Body Motion
