Hello Everyone,

According to ASME B31.3 Para 319.2.3, we have to take care about this Displacement Stress Range.
So I have this System with 2 Pumps running together with Scenario like this:

T1= Pump A & Pump B running together
T2= Pump A ON & Pump B OFF
T3= Pump A OFF & Pump B ON
T4= Pump A & B OFF

The Design Temperature= -39/45 deg C and Temperature Ambient= -39/39 deg C

Several of my Load case are:

Case 2= W+T1+P1 (OPE)
Case 3= W+T2+P2 (OPE)
Case 4= W+T3+P3 (OPE)
Case 5= W+T4+P1 (OPE)

So My question is How i Supposed to set the Load Case for Displacement Stress Range for this system?
Can i set them like this:

Case 59= L2-L3 (EXP)
Case 60= L2-L4 (EXP)
Case 61= L2-L5 (EXP)
Case 62= L3-L4 (EXP)
Case 63= L3-L5 (EXP)
Case 64= L4-L5 (EXP)

SO Please correct me if i'm wrong......

Regards

Tengku Syahdilan

No one is correcting you.

But such rigor could be inefficient.

Better too thorough than not enough, if the worse thing anybody says about you is "he was damned thorough" I would say you have done some good work.
