Hello All

I am searching for information concerning qualifing nozzles on a set of diaphragm pumps. They are a set of Drum Condensate Pumps, low temp. The vendor has not provided allowables. I can not seem to locate any information in API 610, or B31.3, and all of COADE forums regarding diaphragm pumps. I am beginning to question if there is set way to qualify these pumps. I understand a dynamic analysis is going to be in order for the piping involved. Can some one shed a little light on the subject, or point me in the right direction.

Regards
KEV

You need to find out what standard your pump conforms too.

Possibly it's API 675.

Your certified vendor data should include the allowable nozzle loads, if not ask for them.

Don't assume anything, everybody needs to be in agreement.
