We are looking for some user references for PVElite.
Has anyone used Compress before switching to PVElite. We currently use Compress but would like to switch to PVElite for the jacket capacity. I would like to hear from some PVElite users regarding a comparison.

Not the answer you're looking for but...

I've never used Compress so I can't help with your comparison. What I can tell you is that I've used COADE products for almost 20 years now and PVElite for the last 7. You get excellent support from COADE and they have always demonstrated a committment to develop and improve their software.

My suggestion is that you obtain a trial copy of PV Elite 2008 and analyze a number of vessels that are typical of what you design and build. In the event that you cannot quickly figure out how to use the software, please contact us directly and we will be happy to help you (there is a quick start guide under the help menu and several sample vessels in the examples directory). Once you have performed some tests and used the program, you will be in a good position to make an informed decision.

We will (hopefully) have a new build out in the upcoming weeks that have a number of new features included. You may want to wait for that. The downloadable demo version for 2008 will be produced after the first build.
