Hello, there:
How can I copy some pipes from one model and paste to the other model if both models are built with Caesar II? The properties (Material, Diameter, temp and pressure) of the copied pipes will be changed to the paste model?

I am new to Cesar, please help

You can't perform a "copy & paste" operaton between two models. However, to accomplish what you want, in the original model perform a "SaveAs" and create a new (duplicate) model.

Next, go into the duplicate and use the "Element LIST" to delete what you don't want.

Hi Twinbrooks,

you can use the special execution parameter 'include piping input files " function which lets you combine two files, (or lets you view the two files together but not combine them). Have a look in the user guide which should be given as a PDF under the help menu.

Watch your node numbering when you do this. If you have common node numbers on the two models for different points in the piping system then when you bring the models together you get a great big mess of piping.

Only the point on both models that is the same point on the piping system should have the same node number.

In the past I have combined. I have some problems now but will be sorted out.

If you change on the top line in the dialog box read now to "Y" you will be able to combine and cork with the added model part. Becomes one model.
