Recently i started using CII v5 ,as per Client requirement.its difficult. How can i keep both the restraint summary and Graphical output windows active . Normal practice(as in CII v4.5) is to browse through the restraint summary report as well as looking at the graphical output.
I'm sure no one can memorize the restraint summary and then look into grpahical output and recollect how each restraint is loaded.
People at COADE please do something.

There is an element viewer in version 5.00 that you can activate and see all the output data at the same time as you are looking at the graphical data. When in the graphical output click on the button that says GRID on it to open the viewer. From there it should be self-explanatory.

I had a simple idea , i gone to input plot screen and opened the output restraint summary from there so that i can browse through each restraint and their loads with both restraint summary and Graphical output windows active.

Seems like this thread should be renamed maybe "using CAESAR II viewer"?

I found a simple way out.i'm taking Print-out of restraint summary report and reviewing with graphical output. I hope in future version of C II, COADE will restore the simplicity of V4.5.

Hi, A simpler way is to run your analysis and once the static output processor window is open, close it to go back to your graphical input. Now use the view static result button. It will open the static output processor without closing the graphical input.

No, no patch.
Highlight the load cases you want, then the restraint summary, then generate the report. This will put the summary in a new window at the bottom of the Output Processor Window. You can grab this, move it, and/or resize this window as necessary.
Now, click on any of the other load cases or report options. This will reactivate the Output Processor's menus and toolbar. Click the load case you want, then click the toolbar button to activate the graphics.

Ah, I see the problem - you're running Version 5.00. What I described is available in Version 5.10.
