Hi; When we want to set the global coordinate, can we set any it for any nodes or for only the first node?
Regards
Thanks

Zeynep
The global co-ordinates can only be specified to the start node of the model.

But if you want to set a different node to (0,0,0), determine the "current" location of that node - say, (x,y,z) - and simply enter (-x,-y,-z) for the "default origin".
If you are using plant coordinates and your (0,0,0) is no where in your model, be aware that CAESAR II has a limit on the size of these coordinates - a limit that can be exceeded when using millimeters for length and in a big plant.

Been there, done that and spent ages wondering if it should be pos' or neg' for easting and westings!!

Dave,
"Wave Phase Angle — This entry defines the position of the wave relative to the starting node of the piping system."
Whether the global origin is (0,0,0,) or (x,y,z). This is the origin point where the wave phase angle is manipulated where WAV is selected in model. Is this interpretation valid?
Many thanks. Siddharth.

Sid - yes, the phase is defined from the first node.

Any chance the "distance between nodes" will work for included piping files some day (grin). While we're at it, a set node XXX to global coordinate YYY little utility would sure be nice (grin) Shannon But if you want to set a different node to (0,0,0), determine the "current" location of that node - say, (x,y,z) - and simply enter (-x,-y,-z) for the "default origin".
