5.0 - toolbars won't stay put

Another issue I'm having with 5.0 - I go and move the input screen toolbars into an arrangement that makes more sense for me. However, then next time I open a model input file, the toolbars have returned to their default locations. I've been digging, but so far I've been unable to find a way to make Caesar remember where I've moved the toolbars.
What am I missing?
Thanks,

Toolbar locations are saved in the Registry. As long as you have "rights" to hkey_current_user this should work fine.

Now that's definitely odd, then. I'm an administrator on my machine, so I've definitely go rights to the registry.

Thankfully, no. We're holding firm with XP for the foreseeable future.

I've always had the same issue.... toolbars don't stay put... always go back to where they started on a Caesar restart (or actually just opening another file in the same session). I figured that's how Caesar worked.
I'm on XP and have admin rights too.

Toolbars are supposed to stay where you leave them. Their position is written to the Registry. Maybe you have some issue with updating the Registry?
Try deleting the CAESAR II key completely, then the program will rebuild it. Start REGEDIT, (and being very careful)navigate to: "hkey_current_user\software\coade, inc.", and then delete the "CAESAR II" key and all its subkeys.

SOLUTION: I have observed that the toolbars WILL stay put if you make changes in the piping input, then quit the program without performing an analysis. If you instead perform a batch run, for example, toolbar changes made in that input session will not be saved. Hopefully we'll see a fix in the upcoming 5.10 release.

The toolbars are staying put in 5.10 Beta.

I've tried it all. I've even gotten a new machine and have a dual monitor setup. Caesar will remember that I want the input screen on the right side monitor. But, I go through the effort to minimize the "classic" input and open all the new floating input boxes and arrangement in my left monitor. This leaves my right monitor essentially a full screen view of the model.
But, I can save the file, exit the program and bring it back up - and everything goes back to the default setting.
I've pretty well given up on this being a solvable problem. For now, the best I can do is drag the whole classic piping input box over to my left monitor. Even that gets reset every time, but it's less work to drag the one window over.

Version 5.00 should be remembering where the toolbars are. It (Version 5.00) will not remember where you place the "tearables". Version 5.10 will remember all of this. (We've shipped everything, so you should have yours.)
