I have to clarify with you, in CAESAR file, DISPLACEMENTS card, what is the meaning of the DX2,RX1,RX2,etc.,please see the below texts. Thanks in advance.

DISPLACEMENTS
Node 910 DX1= -2.400 mm. DY1= -90.600 mm. DZ1= 2.400 mm. RX1= .000
RY1= .000 RZ1= .000 DX2= 2.300 mm. DY2= -80.300 mm. DZ2= -2.300 mm.
RX2= .000 RY2= .000 RZ2= .000 DX3= 2.300 mm. DY3= -77.600 mm.

Each node in the system has 6 degrees of freedom: x, y, z, rx, ry, rz.

When you talk about displacments and rotations, the above DOF are typically referred to as dx, dy, dz, rx, ry, and rz.

In CAESAR II you can impose displacements and rotations for these DOFs. Further, you can have up to 9 sets (or vectors) of predefined displacments. Hence: dx1, dy1, ..., dx2, ...., dx3, ..... rz9

Some time Zero displacement comes with -ve sign like DX= -0.000, DY= -0.000, DZ= 0.000
What does this Zero sign represent.

"Floating Point" or "Real" numbers can not be represented exactly on a computer. So zero isn't really zero, it may be something like 5.123e-17, or perhaps -3.749e-16. While both values are zero for all practical purposes, the former will display as 0.000 and the later as -0.000.

I would advise you to read a little bit on structural analysis methods and their computer implementation.You will not need to ask these questions but find out the answers yourself.

so I think this is a normal problem for calculation engineer.
we must have professional knowledge also have computer knowledge,
so it isn't easy to become a excellent calculation engineer.

But whether our leader recognize it?
if a calculation engineer is a important position in your department, you are luck.

Maybe Coade could format the reports and results by using rounding functions. How it is now is not neat and polished.
