Hi,

I have one query regarding the comparision of maximum shear stresses resulted on various planes in WRC 297 using CODE CALC -component analysis, nozzle external load analysis. While using WRC 297, option through Componet analysis, once we run the file in CODE CALC component analysis, unlike in WRC 107 results, software does'nt provide the comparision of induced shear stresses with the allowable stresses whether it is passed or not.

Pl. clarify what should be allowable stresses to compare the induced maximum shear stresses on various planes.

Can COADE update this comparision in their reports like in WRC 107 reports?

Further, while doing WRC 297 analysis for some of the nozzles, reports says:
Warning - The ratio, Dn/Tn (9.000) is < 20
check the limitations of WRC bulletin 297.

Inspite of the above warning, report displays the Stress Computations at the Edge of the Nozzle.
In this regard in some of the cases if the WRC 107 curves are exceeded we normally do the WRC 297 analysis for those cases & some cases may not be satisfying the WRC 297 limitations. For those cases pl. clarify whether the WRC 297 stress computations results after the indicated warning can be considered for acceptance or not?
