Can somebody advice whether U/G Cross Country Pipelines having Launcher/Receiver at either end and Valve stations in between needs to be stressed throughout its running lengths?

Following sections needs to be analysed for sure as there would be bends:

1) Between Launcher upto U/g anchor downstream of the Launcher
2) U/g Anchor upstream of Valve Station and U/g anchor downstream of Valve station
3) Between U/g anchor upstream of Receiver upto Receiver
4) Upstream U/g Anchor before crossings & Downstream U/g Anchor as the pipe changes elevations due to crossings

Remaining straight lengths of pipelines need not be analysed as the pipeline is linear.

Correct me if i am wrong as stress failure in Cross Country pipelines occur at bends bcaz of change of elevations due to crossings/valve stations/ A/G to U/g transitions or horizontal sharp 90 Deg turns

As you imply, deflection due to thermal strain is collected at changes in direction (both elbows and tees) as the thermal growth is directed by the soil along the axis of the pipe and accumulated at these bearing areas.

Straight pipe between two anchors (either real or "virtual") should be evaluated (outside CAESAR II) for buckling.
