Hi,

In the calculation of a ANSI/BOLTED FLANGE type INTEGRAL RING FLANGE we understand that this flange will have to be in agreement Fig. UW 13-2 (n), ASME VIII Div. 1. When we inserts a value in WELD LEG BACK OF RING does not identify change in the dimensions of the flange.

In the calculation of the same flange analyzing PROGRAM OUTPUT we observe that in MOMENT ARM CALCULATIONS value "R" and “g1” does not correspond fig 2-4 (7) of the ASME VIII Div. 1.

Please to clarify

Thanks

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

The input for the weld neck at the back of the flange is just used to check minimum clearance between the pipe and the bolt circle diameter as suggested per TEMA.

Did you enter the flange ID as shown in Figure 2-4 (7)? For the integral ring flange it should be the pipe ID.

If you still need help then send your file and your hand calculations to supportcoade.com.
