When specifying load cases in CAESAR, is it possible to handle + and - deflections and uniform loads with one variable? For example, say there is a +/- deflection of 1" in X. Can one entry be made D1 = (1.0, 0, 0) and then the load cases be built using only D1 as such:

1. W+P1+T1+D1 (OPE)
2. W+P1+T1-D1 (OPE)

to handle the deflections in both + & - X-directions? Or does D1 need to be specified as (1.0, 0, 0) and D2 as (-1.0, 0, 0) with load case 2. specified as

2. W+P1+T1+D2 (OPE)

And will this work for Uniform Loads also?

Yes you can use -D1 in the load case construction. This should work fine. You can easily prove this applying a tip deflection on a cantilever.
