The idea behind the password protection of the configuration directives is that the protected configuration is used as the template when creating new configuration files. In order for this to password business to work, your current working directory must be the program directory.

To use this feature, perform the following steps:

1) From the "main CAESAR II menu, select "File\Set Default Data Directory".

2) Invoke the "Configuration Module".

3) Click the [Password] button

4) Click on the [New Password] button. Set a password as appropriate.

Once a password has been set, the other buttons on this dialog are activated. To change the setting of a protected directive you must specify the password.
