Let us say that I am going to analyze a variety of piping systems and that for all but a couple of these I want the ambient temp to be less than the default 70F. My understanding of the user guide is that I would set the Configuration Setup/Database Definitions Ambient temperature box to my desired ambient before creating new files to analyze.

My question: If I set a new (but not necessarily 70F) ambient temp for the above couple of files in the "Special Execution Parameters" dialog, does the new ambient overide the default or the ambient set in the Config file? Is this the best way to acomplish changes in ambient?

Yes, your "new ambient" would override the value from the Configuration.

The "configuration value" is used only to "seed" new input files.
