In Caesar-II standard software package come's with the valve and flange data base ( rating and weight).

In my situation,
While specifying the Rigid and selecting the valve and flange type and rating it gives the error message "no data base value".

Please note that in configuration (data base definition) we have specified CADWORX.VHD.

Also I can see the CADWORX.VHD in the C:\Caesar folder.

Thanks

This means that for your diameter and pressure combination, there is no data in the database.

What is your pressure, your diameter, and the exact version of CAESAR II you are using?

I have tried with all the combinations of pressure, diameter and rating but no success.

For this particular project the details of pipelines are as follows:

Diameter 30" and 18"

Pressure 143 bar and 44 bar

ANSI Class 900# and 600#

However for our annother project the pipelines may vary from 6" to 30 " dia, pressure from 55 bar to 520 bar and rating upto ANSI Class 2500.

The available Caesar-II version is 4.4, with the latest Build 030403 applied.

The problem here is that your data (diameter/pressure combination) results in a specialty item. In other words, you won't find this item in a standard vendor catalog.

Anytime you get the message "no database values", you can check the file your self. For example, for a 30" 600# flanged globe valve, using metric units, view the file \caesar\lib_m\600\glb_f.600. You will see that the standard sizes stop at 8 inches. This means that we didn't find any catalog data for this item above 8 inches.

You have two alternatives at this point:

1) You can manually specify the length and weight of this item directly on the CAESAR II spreadsheet (after you obtain the data from a vendor).

2) If this item is something you will use a lot, you can add it to the database. Edit the appropriate data files, as well as the corresponding SPEC file in \caesar\spec. (Note, make copies of these files before you alter them, just in case they get fouled up.)

i have the same problem described below so i effectively design valve like rigid element with ( rigid weight 3800 N) and the width of valve is 330 mm ( butterfly valve ) knowing that the OD is 914 mm ...but when i want to extract the isometry ..its always blocked until i changed the width nd i put 1000 mm.but it will impact the dimension of isometry nd then we cant take consideration of...what can i do to resolve this issues!!

thank you
