APPENDIX "S"

Dear Sir,
As you know App. "S" of API-650 is relevant to stainless steel material and the min. bottom plate thickness is 5mm. The TANK program is set in such a manner that accept
only 0.25"(6.4 mm) as min. thickness which is correct only for carbon steel material.
Also, it seems the program shall be modified
to accept min. thickness based on metric system, e.g., 6.0mm instead of 6.4mm per API
new edition.

You are correct - the error checker enforces a limit of 0.25 inches as the minimum bottom plate thickness, when checking the seismic input data.

I will have this changed for the next update.
