Warning Message

Dear All,

i am getting a strange warning when i run the report for one of the vessel which i designed using PV Elite 2007. I have not done any lifting analysis but still i am facing this problem

Warning: CG of Vessel is Too near or Outside the Lift Points !!


Can u guys pls help me out

Your problem seems to be of equipment with intermidiate skirt.

And the CG is near skirt's tailing lug.

Firstly, you need to talk to your logistics and describe them the problem which will occur while lifting. They can suggest you some arrangement and then try to understand & resolve the forces and moment.

Just a curiosity; why are you using the 2007 version of PV Elite? The current version is 2011. We worked on the rigging part of the programme since then, and the 2011 version will probably be more accurate.

Thanks for your reply. But i have not used any intermediate skirt nor do the tailing lug.

I have found the solution, its because i had some values fed in the Installation / Miscellaneous tab. I entered 'Zero' there and now its working

Actually we are not into the design of Pressure vessel fully....hence we have not upgraded the version. At present, We use PV Elite to perform some in-house checks.

I am glad you got the rigging analysis working. With regard to the 2007 version of PV Elite, by upgrading you are doing your calculations to the latest version of the code.
