Codecalc Material Property Identifier - 04/24/08 09:53 AM
Hi,
I notice in Codecalc that the program selects the material property identifier automatically from the user material selected. I am running a fixed ASME tubesheet design and so it is very important that I get correct values for my coefficients of thermal expansion. It appears as though Codecalc is using TEMA to obtain the coefficients.
As this is an ASME design, should the coefficients not come from ASME II Part D? I get different values from Codecalc when using ASME and am inclined to go this route, changing the identifier so I get values from ASME.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks
ps: great forum!
