tags and vertical noz in head - 12/12/03 06:06 PM

1. pvelite constantly puts the element (component) tags in an unreadable position. How can they be adjusted/moved (especially after upload into HTML) or can the program be improved or altered to allow this.

2. Its not intuitively clear how to obtain a vertical noz in a head (pointing straight up).(the manual and F1 does not answer this_ offset dimension =0 doesnt do it)

Hell Al

1 Yes, there is a problem with viewing the tags, and we are aware of this. We are hoping to address this shortly, as we are still working on our new PVElite release.

2 This is fairly simple. It is will be much easier in the new release, as we have completely re-worked the input for hillside nozzles. However, the method in the current release (5.0) is as follows, assuming you have a top head in a vertical vessel: Select the head, then open the nozzle dialogue box. Set the distance from the centreline of the head to the offset dimension, and then set the hillside dimension to the same value. If the nozzle appears to point in a weird direction you may have to set the direction in the drop down list box labelled: 'Hillside Nozzle Direction'. If you look at the 3D model, there is an X,Y,Z coordinate pointer set on the screen. Just set the nozzle to point in the direction you want (probably the +Y direction in our case). This should fix the problem.

Thank you for your enquiry
