Eccentric platform in PV Elite

Hi,

Is it possible to analyse eccentric platform for horizontal vessel in PV Elite?

Can anybody please advise how to proceed?

Hi Bixin,

There is no 3D representation available for an eccentric platform in PV Elite. You can add an eccentric weight to account for the platform weight on the saddle analysis.

But where can i find this option to add eccentric weight on the saddle analysis tab?

I would prefer adding forces and moments acting on the platform support cleats (originated from structural analysis of platform) which i suppose is a more realistic analysis if eccentric platform cannot be readily modeled in PV Elite.

Please advise.
