UG-45 ta - UG-22 loadings - 01/11/15 01:39 AM
Hi, We have received a comments from AIS during pre audit regarding incorporation of clause UG-45 "ta" effects of external forces & moments of applicable loading UG-22 shall be considered. Please advise where PV Elite reports addresses this clause incorporation.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Zink
The UG-45 provision is a caution in the code to make sure that if there are external loads on the nozzle, it's wall thickness is sufficient to sustain those loads. However, there is no mention of what the magnitude of those loads might me. PV Elite automatically does the UG-45 analysis for every nozzle, unless you check the box that says: 'Manway/Acs Ope?' check box in the nozzle dialogue screen.
