In one of the project specification of pressure vessel design , it is mentioned -
"Application of ASCE 7-10 : combination loads shall be calculated with factor of 1.4 as per ASCE 7-10 paragraph 2.4.1 basic combination.

Can you suggest how it is to be taken care in PV Elite calculation ?

Hi Ketan,

The value of 1.4 does not seem to appear in load cases 1 through 8 in paragraph 2.4.1. The value of 1.4 appears in paragraph 2.3.2, Strength Design.

In any event, the wind and earthquake loads can be scaled by entering a factor at the top of the load cases screen.
