dimensioning in paper space - 09/09/20 10:21 AM

I am having precision problems when selecting points in PS to dimension! When I tell it to grab the mid point of W shape it grabs the side of the web. Our if I tell it to grab nearest it grabs something that I can't even see!
I have xrefed my model and created my vport using 3dclip to display my section and vport is set to hidden.

Please HELP!! anyone!!

Do you have snap to cardinal point turned on ? Have you got an example model that you can upload here ?

I'm not always dimensioning to the cardinal point.

No example model at this time.
I had a break through late yesterday afternoon and have figured out that if I put grid lines everywhere I need dimensions I am sure to get the proper measurement each time in PS. Then put centerlines in PS and turn off the gridlines to plot sheet.
Its more work but its better than getting bad dimensions.

Surely I'm not the only person having this problem!

Thank you!

Yeah, but if turned on, the software will only snap to cardinal points and might be related as to why you cannot snap to your desired point.

I made a quick test with a sample drawing, I am not picking up this issue. Hence it might be something related to your model files.
