Import DAT file into Cadworx structure 2019

Anyone know how to import an *.dat file into Cadworx structure 2019 - thanks Byron

Can you be more specific ? Is this a legacy steel data file ?

It is a Text File named Lumber.Dat How can I attach the file

That looks like a legacy data file.

You should be able to use the import from data file option in the structure editor.

For some unknown reason it will not import.

it looks relatively easy to rebuild from scratch in Structure editor unless you have tons of similar data files. If it is lumber, it is most likely based on a flat bar data table.

I am importing a dat file to 2019 Editor, which works fine. When I model a member from the imported data table it does not behave like a normal member (being stretchable) until I run the legacy convert command STRLEGACYCONVERT on it. Is there some property I need to edit in the imported table to make it come in as a normal structure shape?

Disregard. Found out user was building components with a custom CUIX with older blocks that had not been legacy converted.
