Curve Piping - 10/08/18 03:01 PM
How do I do curved piping? or ring piping. I'm running CW2016 Pro.
Thanks!

For the Iso remember to set the CURVETHRESHOLD in Iconfig, otherwise your bent pipe will look similar to elbows.

Hi,
I am trying to get a ring header to come out in an Iso.
I have inserted a 6" Bent pipe, changed the Skey to PBBW, gone to iConfig and changed the Threshold to 3, for a 6" pipe. I still get a tiny configuration in my Iso that looks like 4 elbows.
Is there a magic number for the Threshold? I don't know what I'm missing.

I use a value of 1. From what I recall, Isogen has problems processing a complete ring main on one sheet. Try using stop signs, otherwise if you can share the model I can take a closer look at it.

"Loopback" has always been a problem with ISOGEN.
For things like ring headers, I would normally recommend skipping ISOGEN and even piping isometrics altogether. Treat it as a mechanical design, and create drawings as such.
