It's 2018 - How are YOU placing instruments? - 08/07/18 08:14 AM

Just trying to get an idea of what everyone is doing here for instruments.

I'm talking PI's PT's etc.

Here are the different ways that I know of in no particular order of preference - but I have seen them all:

1. Isogen Supplemental

2. Restraint marked existing and Isogen Text Bubble

3. Plug or blind flange marked existing and Isogen Text Bubble

4. user shape

Am I missing any?

I just put TAG name into Message/ Text to the last component before instrument. Usually this is enough for all constructors to understand what to do. Usually different constructors installing piping and instrumentation.

For me it's number 3. Be careful with CONVERTFROMPRJDATA command to prevent loss of tags.
