Nozzle on nozzle extension

I am trying to build a nozzle onto a nozzle that has a 90 extension on it and I get the error that it cannot be done. I can do it when the first nozzle is straight but not when it has an extension? I feel like I'm missing something easy. I'm using Equipment 2019.
