Can you turn off Snap within P&ID. - 05/28/20 07:35 AM

Ok, heres a head scratcher.... so if you have your OSNAP set within P&ID you can draw a line or copy to those OSNAPs, but if you insert a valve from within the program OSNAPs may show but SNAP turns on by default. This is only good if the drawing was created from the start using SNAP, as you know we all have inherited drawings less than perfect. Is there a TXT file
(or something else) buried within Cadworx where I can turn off the SNAP default when inserting P&ID components?

Command:
Command:
Command: (command "snap" "a" "0.03125" "0.03125") nil

Command: (command "snap" "on") nil

Command: -insert Enter block name or [?] : flowarrow
Units: Inches Conversion: 1.0000
Specify insertion point or [Basepoint/Scale/X/Y/Z/Rotate]:
Enter X scale factor, specify opposite corner, or [Corner/XYZ] <1>: Enter Y scale factor :
Specify rotation angle <0>: x
Requires valid numeric angle or second point.

Specify rotation angle <0>:

I'm not aware of any, other than keeping your finger near F9 wink

The best solution is to fix the PID, most timely, is to use F9 or create a reactor to turn it off when it turns on?

Try turning off snap before you run one of the modelling commands.

Thats what I have been doing but I am not wanting to turn off snap every time i enter an object as that would cause excessive commands and increased time.

Are you using BricsCAD or AutoCAD? Sounds like you might have the adaptive snap grid configured if BricsCAD.
