CADWorx P&ID Crash on HATCH or BHATCH

CADWorx P&ID Crash on HATCH or BHATCH - 01/07/20 04:48 PM

We are running CADWorx P&ID Professional 2017 R1 SP2 HF1 on AutoCAD 2016 for production work. For our demo drawings, the area being demolished is clouded using REVCLOUD and hatched with either HATCH or BHATCH. While it doesn't happen 100% of the time, P&ID crashes most of the time the command HATCH is initiated; the user doesn't get the opportunity to select and object or area to hatch. The crash occurs in drawings that were started previously and edited in 2017. Drawing a new cloud and a new hatch in new drawing does not result in a crash. Also, hatching the objects in Plant does not result in a crash. The R1 SP2 HF1 readme shows TX-23415 defining a similar issue.

Is there anything we can to prevent the crash?

Thanks!

I recall running into this issue. I think what we did was open the model inside regular CAD to hatch. Then continued in PID.
