Cadworx 2015 Steel Bom quantity not totaling up correctly

Im using the sbomexport command to get a total count of each steel member in my model and even though the length and weight columns come out correctly totaled, the quantity only shows a count of "1" even though there are over 36 steel members. Is there a setting within sbomsetup or somewhere that im missing that would get me a total QTY with the Total Sbomexport command?

Are they all the same section size/profile? How does the cut or single option compare.

They are all the same size/ profile. If i add the same W4x13 beam
3 times and do a total BOM, the length and weight is summed up correctly but the quantity only shows 1. If Cut or single options are used, i get 3 beams, one for each line in the excel spreadsheet.

That sounds correct for a Total BOM. The total BOM will group and accumulate the lengths/weights for similar sections.

A Cut BOM will list beams of different lengths separately.

So why would the Quantity count not correctly add up?

I am sure I understand your question. If the lengths for the same section profile is accumulated with the total option, what would you like the QTY to be?

If it was also listed as 3, then you would end up ordering 3 times the amount of material.
