Steel Drawing Layers

I'm using Cadworx for Autocad release 2014. When I open a dwg, the program adds layers that I don't need. I'm not doing design or BOM functions, strictly 3D drafting. Is there any way I can stop the program from adding unwanted/unneeded layers?

No. There are a handful of layers that are considered "required" by CADWorx. Any others may be included in the CFG, you can remove those if needed.
