Adding additional Valve information on ISO

Hi Everyone,

First Post!!!!

A designer asked if I could give him a location or option to populate valve codes such as CSO, CSC, NC, etc.

They Message type and text fields are already being used for the instrument designation.

Is there another area for the designer to populate this or can I set it in I-Configure to accommodate for this?

Might be possible, but dependent on version. You might be able to map custom CADWorx component properties to ISOGEN component properties using I-Configure. And you'd still have to add the properties to the catalog or PRJ.

I had a conversation with the designer and we were wondering if we can add a "note" block to the supplemental list that can be placed on the valve and then edited to suit. Not Ideal but quick and dirty.

You can map custom data from the PRJ to a component attribute. Then you can have Isogen populate/callout that component attribute on the Iso.

Been some time since I have done this but it definately works.
