Dear All,

If pipe material is not found in CAESAR II MATERIAL LIBRARY then in that case how can we input that pipe material for allowable stress check.

EXAMPLE :

Pipe Size NPS : 1650 ,Material : A134-A283 Gr C EFW ,temp. 60 c ,please demonstrate it for above example.

There are two options:
- add the material to the database using the material database editor
- choose material number 21: User defined, and enter all values in the appropriate boxes. You can enter coefficient of thermal expansion in the temperature boxes if you want.

Dear Corne,

I am agree with you,but my query start only from here.I ahve got Maximum allowable stress value from APPENDIX A of ASME 31.1/31.3 ,but I have to input also Hot elastic modulus & thermal coeffiecient of pipe material.

What would you do if this forum did not exist ?

Read the documentation that you received with the software.

Good plan.

You can define all of that data using the Material Database Editor.
