Including Structural Model in Piping File - 06/13/11 11:09 PM

Hi,

During Including structural model in Piping File in CAESAR-II with the help of connecting node, the model is not showing correctly and it looks like piping model is mismatching with structural model.

Please Advice!!!

Then there is a dimension error in one or more elements.

Remember that the node numbers need to be different in piping model respect to structural one. Only connection need to be the same.

Node numbers are given different for Piping Model as well as for structural model. I will be sending in email (at caesarii@intergraph.com) the screen shot of model in which Structural model is included in Piping Model.

Please see it and provide me the solution..

There is no error. Caesar work with "sticks" that have the properties of pipe or beams, then add an envelope that look like the pipe or beam, i.e work with the centerline of the elements. It will connect the centerline of the pipe with the centerline of the beam. If you want more realistic graphics you can add some dummy rigids from centerline to the outer surface of pipe and beam.
