ISOGEN drawing error( bend angle issue) - 05/20/11 06:13 AM
HI ALL,
ISOGEN isometric drawing created by caesar II 5.2 program is not proper. The piping angle of 90Degree bend is created by ISOGEN is 2 Nos 45 Degree bend with some unwanted dimensions. I am enclosing the ISO drawing and the input data file for your reference.
Kindly provide me the solution for above problem.

If you want to display node number or some other things for the mid-point of elbow. Isogen dlls will break 90 degree bend into two 45 degree bends, so there is space for mid-point. This is done automatically by Isogen dlls. So the solution is to un-select the check box for elbow mid-point.
This could be "fixed" in CAESAR II by using the coordinate of the tangent intersection point for mid-point and all points other than near and far. The elbow will look very smooth, but the isometric drawing is not accurate.

Shawn,
This was not an issue in 5.1. As some managers expect to produce stress isos, i'd like to know when will be fixed. I repeat, 5.1 work fine.

The personal isogen verion for CAESAR II 5.10 is 5.6.9.5, and the for 5.20 is 6.3.0.0. That may be the reason, but I am not sure. Try the suggestion I posted previously, that will work. You can send me the 5.10 file, I can take a look.
