Caesar II - getting it to work on different subnets

Caesar II - getting it to work on different subnets - 03/13/01 05:20 PM

We have just gone to a subnet (two different buildings) and people in the new building are unable to run Caesar. With another application we have, Compress, it seems that the NetBIOS name is an issue and we have to use a different license manager.

Has anyone run into this before?

Can you give me more info like:
- Network Architecture
- Operating systems involved, versions
and other specs.
- And, just for asking, how many network
(red ESL) ESL from COADE do you have?

I have been assigned, just yesterday, to take care of this software package. So, I do not know everything you have asked but will find out and post later today.

What I do know is the following:

subnets: 10.30.*.* and 10.40.*.* (the 2nd is where we are having issuses).

NT 4.0 with SP5.

As for the ESLs, I don't know. The person that is taking care of it is not in right now but I will find out more and post later.

At this point this is all I know. I do realize that this is vague. I have not even seen the software package yet.

Thanks for the reply!

We have one red key on the back. Has this answered all your questions? Please let me know and I will find out anything else.

Error codes I am getting on the 10.40.*.* subnet are:

FATAL ERROR # 5333

No Active NetHASP server was found. This applies to IPX and NetBios. HASP error code = 15.

Now, the error code for the local subnet (10.30.*.*) is different than the remote subnet.

Thanks for the help Vicente Lopez Gaona. The problem was that the nethasp.ini was no in the c:\caesar directory.

I called tech support, as we needed it working.

Thanks again, I can see that this Bulletin Board does work, as I can see from the amount of messages in this base and others.

Dear Bro,
I'm glad that has been solved.
