how to Model strainer and flanged Tee and ECC reducer - 04/12/11 12:35 PM

Hi

I have been practicing CAESAR II and trying to make some models.
It is self learning, I have engineering background but still fresh.

I was stuck in modeling a strainer, an ECC reducer, a flanged tee and an expansion joint. All of these were in the piping layout I am trying to model.
Any help please?

The strainer:

Also in this picture after the strainer there is a flanged spool, how to model it? or just ignore the flangs and continue with the model?!

The eccentric reducer, I know how to model a concentric reducer, but not an eccentric reducer.

The flanged tee. If the tee is welded or butwelded it will be easy!

The expansion joint. There is an expansion joint modeler like valves but it is not easy and straight forward.

Many Thanks in advance.

1.You can model your strainer as a valve (rigid with weight)
2.insert the length and eccentricity of the reducer. (e.g. dx - 152mm, dy - 25mm dz - 0
3. model the tee, then add also the flanges as separate elements.
4. read the Caesar documentation
