End suction centrifugal pumps - API 610 versus ANSI

End suction centrifugal pumps - API 610 versus ANSI - 04/09/11 09:26 AM

Dear guys,

API-610 end suction pumps are centerline-mounted and the casing expands uniformly up and down in relation to shaft centre, unlike ANSI end suction pumps which are foot mounted.

That means for 'End suction nozzle' of API end suction pump the vertical displacement is zero.

Could somebody please confirm the approach, otherwise please advise for best practices.

Thanks

For centerline mounted, yes is right (OH2 pump type). API have also foot mounted pumps (OH1, true that are not preffered as they do not meet all requirements)
