FATAL ERROR #6031

HASP HL error 31: The requested feature is no longer available.

I get the above error when I try to run Caesar 2. Any ideas?

I work in a fairly large business, and a every other employee is also getting the same error. (They have been getting the error for some time, but they were doing a workaround to get the program to work.)

It was working just fine until yesterday, but I had to run a WindowsXP repair disk on my system and it seemed to have messed with it some way. Now I am like all the other employees and I am getting the error too.

Thanks for any info!

I have this problems when all licences are in use (on Citrix sever instalation). Maybe this is the problem.

If you're using c2 2011 (Version 5.30) there is a Hasp document exposed on the DVD with troubleshooting tips. You shouldn't be getting error 6031.

If things were working fine, and now they are not, check the setup of the "nethasp.ini" file and the configuration of "Admin Control Center".

Thanks for the info.

I'm still getting the error, and I didn't see anything in either location suggested about the error 6031.

This is happening on all fresh installs with this software on our image load.

If I could figure out what the error actually means, at least I could narrow down to what Windows setting needs to be changed to get it to work.

Aladdin (SafeNet) refers to a "program license" as a "feature". So, "feature no longer available" means "license no longer available". Now we have to guess how that could happen:
- as indicated earlier, maybe all the licenses are in use?
- could there be a network communication issue halting the communication between the workstation and the server?
- could there be some funny business involved due to a virus scanner?
- you said this is happening on your "image loads", what happens if you install directly from the DVD?
