support selction

Hai all
i have got small doubt in selection of support in line pipe..

1) My line-12"(service -water at 100c,5bar) routed as 500 mm above ground level now i have option to use T-post and Dummy lug,please advise m,e which support is better?and the reason to selct?

2)pls guide me support selction for small bore line...

1) dummy leg requires additional weld to the pipe so if you do not have space costraints use T post.
2) your company should have support standards. If not, do a search on internet. Spring support suppliers have catalogs with various pipe supports
