RUSSIAN PIPING CODE - 02/07/11 09:01 AM

Hello,

I will be using Russian piping code for a project. I have never used Russian code before , the only thing I know that this is not supported by C2.

Can I get some tips on Russian codes w.r.t pipe stress requirments and differences w.r.t ASME B31.3 ?

Thanks in advance

I recently worked on a large reformer for Russia. We agreed with the client to do all stress calcs with Caesar II to B31.3 code. In order to comply with Russian authorities, our work was repeated in Russia by a local 'technical institute' using their software to GOST codes. So far as I am aware there were no surprises and no over-stress problems found in Russia having previously been passed by us. Conclusion .... C2 to B31.3 will probably satisfy the GOST codes.
