Caesar II queries - 02/06/11 11:35 PM

Hiii All,

1) Is there option to give "eccentric REDUCER" in caesar II,if yes then whts the I/P method.

2) During Structural Input giving, is there any option of selecting material from database,or we will select it by giving the material properties????

Thanks & regards,

2) not that I know, but is not every day you have to change this material. Structural steel is normally A36

for the reducer just input a value for Y. (normally Y, it depends on the orientation of the reducer)

You already have the properties. See attached. If you indeed need to change something you change manually.

Dear Bobby,

danb gave you an explanation for the structural steel question.

An excentric reducer can be modelled the following way:
- enter a length in the axial direction of the pipe
- enter half the diameter difference of the reducer in one of the other two directions.
