Open you job with the static input processor. This will "unzip" your "dot C 2" file. You will now see a JOBNAME._7 in your folder. Delete that file as it holds your dynamic input (just as the ._A holds your "static" input and the ._J holds your static load cases). Your dynamics processor will open clean.

Hi everyone,
I am going the slug flow analyis. The problem i am facing is below.
1.when i follow the tutorial in Caesar manual of water hammer to do slug analysis and using inbuilt module of Water hammer/Slug Spectrum i am able to run the results without error.I dont knw weather results are correct or not.
2. when i use the same input and select time history analyis the following error message pops up.
03.6265 , 1.0090
249.9998 , 1.0084
*** ERROR ***
Data in Time History profile: NODE710
referenced in dynamic load case 1 must be TIME vs FORCE.
*** NOTE *** Input check terminated due to fatal errors
Can someone tell which method is correct and how do i remove this error
3.Do i have to enter my time force profile in DLF/Spectrum generator and get the frequency DLF curve or simply enter it in Enter/Edit Spectra data.(these are two icons at top adjacent to Relief load syntheesis)

This would be easier to resolve if you just sent in your job file (.c 2) so we can work with your data directly.

please find attached the file.
1.If you run the Water hammer/Slug spectrum it will give results without error.(although i am not much confident about these results)

2. If you run with Time history you can see the error message.

Spectrum input and Time History input are not interchangable. If you want to run both types of analyses on the same model, I suggest you duplicate the (static) model before entering the dynamic input processor. For example, open "TEST01.C 2" in the static input and "Save As" "TEST01TH.C 2". Then create your response spectrum analysis in "TEST01.C 2" and your time history analysis in "TEST01TH.C 2".
If you already built dynamic data before duplication, I suggest you clear out the existing dynamic input in the second job by opening the model in statics and, while the job is open, delete the ._7 file in that folder (e.g. TEST01TH._7). That will clear out the old dynamic input.
