HIGH PRESSURE PIPING - 11/12/10 05:08 AM

Hi everyone,

I need someone to give some links, readings, codes that apply for calculating HIGH PRESSURE PIPING.

Any information you could give me will be useful.

Good plan from DanB ....

You might also have a look at ASME VIII Div. 3 (Alternative Rules for High Pressure Vessels).

Ok, but thatīs not enough.
Having a high prussure (more than 2000 barg) means having a high speed in your piping systems, that may cause low frequency vibrations, hammers in elbows, etc.. how or which is the best way to calculate the forces in the system, so we can design the most suitable supports for it?.

Yes, ASME VIII, div 2 or 3 might apply? Is that the ASME code mandatory for high pressure piping?
And a guide for making a dynamic analysis?

I think that not only you but also your company should have already the "know-how" regarding this subject if Client gives you this contract.
But what do I know?
Perhaps managers are 100% pro "can do" concept.
