modeling an underground equipment - 06/12/05 11:21 PM

Dear All,

I would be very grateful if some one could suggest how I can model a buried equipment. As far as I know we can not use "underground pipe modeler" of Caesar II for these kinds of situations. Is there any other way to calculate the loads imposed by the piping on a burried nozzle of an equipment? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated !

I would model buried pipe up to nozzle flange and model un-buried pipe from nozzle to equipment base.
If your equipment(may be drain sump)is quite big size, buried piping force will not affect to the deflection of buried equipment. If your equiment is small size compare to pipe size, I would model it as big size pipe.
This is just my opinion.
