PDS INTERFACE - 03/15/05 08:35 AM

Dear ALL,
I am currently working on the interface between PDS 7.2 and CAESAR II ver. 4.50 and I have the following problem:

I want to transfer the material codes from PDS to CAESARII.
I have the PDS material codes in the neutral file and the material mapping file in the C:\CAESAR\SYSTEM Subdirectory, but when I run the interface this error window appears:
"Error, improper version of the material mapping file detected. No materials will be transfered"

As far as I know the material mapping file(PDS_MAT.MAP) has changed. If it is possible please send me by e-mail the revised file.

Also I have one more problem. I can't understand why the insullation thickness for the pipes (PI)is written on the insullation density field and the insullation thickness for the ellbows (EL) is written on the correct field in the CAESAR input.
Please advice me if CAESAR 4.50 intergraph interface is compatible with PDS ver 7.2
I find out some minor changes at the input CAESAR file between ver. 4.40 and 4.50 intergraph interface.

Any response would be appreciated,
Thank you

Yes the mapping file changed for Version 4.50. The new one should be in the latest "build" which you can download from this site.

I can't answer you for sure on your insulation question. Can you e-mail me a sample neutral file that exhibits this problem? I'll take a look and get back to you.
