How do we calculate reaction forces at orrifices?

Kind regards,

This is a fluid mechanics problem and hence use:

1)control volume approach and Reynold's transport theorem

2) Use momentum eqn.

3) For incompressible flow use Bernoulli's eqn

4) For compressible flow use ideal gas eqn.

Really there is nothing more than that.

Of course you have to draw the free body diagram of the control volume.
