GRE Local Stress Calculation

Dear all,

I am trying to search for formula or method in evaluating local stress on GRE pipe especially ‎ovalization effect but I can't find any.‎ Can anyone lead me to documents I need to study?

Have you checked the GRE codes like UKOOA, BS7159 and ISO14692? They give extensive formulas for all kinds of checks. Don't know if they give something specifically for ovalization though. I need to check that. You can also check the tech-document from Ameron Bondstrand. If I'm not mistaken they give some useful formulas too.

Annex E of ISO 14692- Part 3 gives guidance on support contact stresses.
